This past Monday was the Spring Art Showcase at the Spoke Club's gallery in Toronto. It's a show dedicated to the exploration of colour and technique. Everything was bright and cheerful. Just what I like.
I was happy to have a couple of pieces hanging among some fantastic artists. We had a great turn out and I enjoyed chatting with a few of my show mates.
Here are a few pictures from the night.
Me with my "Manarola" painting and some fantastic wine.
Line of paintings. Mine is far left. Beside me is Michael Wills and three works by Cobie Cruz.
Early on in the opening. Food comes in, people rush over.
In the past year my focus has been website and painting. Showing has been put on the back burner – partly, because I GET SO NERVOUS! I've had to get use to showing my work, which I have been regularly for ten years now (not counting the University days). It still brings out the nerves. *Pat self on the back. This show is my second of the year. I think it's time for more! And those nerves – well, I won't let being a little uncomfortable interfere. Especially when there's wine;)
